Rehabilitating country lanes of the Perche to the inhabitants

Date

Autumn-Winter 2018/19

EN

Chemins creux is the French word for green lanes.

It is a cartography project around a reflection on the Commons, based on the book by Elinor Olstrom.

Commons are goods or services shared by a community, which is itself delimited by rules, to ensure the survival of the commons for their needs and future generations..
The green lanes are a common property, natural heritage
of the Perche. This property is in danger because it is slowly declining to the benefit of fields or commercial areas.
How can it  be upgraded with the inhabitants for their regular journeys?
My first proposal is a general map showing points of interest such as shops on the farm, as well as highlighting the paths
to get there.
My second proposal is a subjective treasure map, proposing routes where only a few key points are put forward in order
to highlight the landscape. The purpose of these maps is to stir the users' sense of observation up, to make them take the time.
