The workshop ‘‘material experimentation’’ was
a 2-week workshop. The aim was to discover materials (plastics and metals) and how we can model with them.
The subject was ‘‘fruit basket’’. We wanted to create an aerial basket, inspired by autumn physalis,
also known as "love in a cage" in French. The fruits are like a treasure, visible but inaccessible
in their transparent bubble, which can be taken by lifting a petal from the physalis. It’s kind
of the forbidden fruit of the Garden of Eden that
we will pick every day. Techniques used: laser, plasma, hammering, thermoforming, welding, chemical patina...

Ce projet est un workshop de deux semaines autour des matériaux. Le thème était «corbeille à fruit».
Nous avons voulu créer une corbeille aérienne, inspirée des physalis automnaux (amour en cage).
Les fruits sont comme un trésor, visibles mais inaccessibles dans leur bulle transparente, qu’on peut récupérer en soulevant un pétale du physalis.
C’est un peu le fruit défendu du jardin d’Eden
qu’on va cueillir chaque jour. Techniques utilisées : laser, plasma, martelage, thermoformage, soudure, patine chimique...
